Benefits Committee Meeting
November 16, 2006

Present: Candice Feldt (CF), Spruill Harder (SH), Kevin Lau (KL), Jennifer Lyons (JL), Deb Morley (DM), Craig Thomas (CT)
Absent: Doug Campbell (DC), Steven Marley (SM), Leena Siegelbaum (LS)

• The committee reviewed the attendee responses to the Investment Allocation program. These are included below. Overall, the program was very well received.
• JL reported on the last LAEC meeting and let the committee know that Cliff Lynch, the Director of CNI (the Coalition for Networked Information), would be the speaker for the December Librarians' Assembly program.
• The rest of the meeting was spent on developing a strategy for analyzing the results of the Benefits Committee survey of which there were 163 responses. The committee decided to split up the analysis among committee members as follows:
  • Kevin – questions #1, #2 and #5
  • Spruill – question #4 and responses 1-82 of question #6
  • Candy – question #2F
  • Jen – responses 1-82 of question #3
  • Deb – responses 83-163 of question #3
  • Steve – responses 83-163 of question #6
  • Doug – question #4
• The next Benefits Committee meeting is scheduled for Jan 10 th from 3-4 p.m. in the Gropius Room at the Graduate School of Design (GSD).

• 20 Surveys returned out of ~50 attendees
• Nearly all responses to all 4 aspects polled (see survey on next page) were all excellent or good, with one “neutral” for Discussion/Q&A. We did not get one poor response.
