Doug will send an announcement for the fellowship to “Library Notes”. The previous winner joins the Bryant co-chairs as part of the jury, so Dennis Marnon will be on this year’s jury with Ksenya and Doug. We will discuss the possibility of a brown bag lunch for this year at our next meeting. The lunch should be held well before applications are due. Publicity for the fellowship will also include a message to HUL-info and perhaps the distribution of flyers for posting at libraries.
Doug checked with Dana Hanify and found that there is no possibility for an increase for the fellowship. The possibility of awarding the fellowship every 2 years to give a larger amount of money was discussed. Doug and Ksenya will check on the terms of the endowment to see if there are any limitations.

A taped version of the ARL telecast will be accompanied by a question and answer period held by a representative from the Office of the General Counsel. The program will focus on the meaning of the Patriot Act for librarians and libraries.
Brainstorming for future programs:

We will be collecting ideas for this theme and will start keeping lists of necessary information that we could provide.
Creating customized e-resources pages for individual libraries: Possible program on designing customized web pages that offer subject specific guidance to individual libraries about HUL e-resources. Such a program would probably involve OIS, since they design the e-resources portal.
PDC Web Site:
Peter Kosewski will be updating the Librarians’ Assembly web pages. Alix has made updates for new members’ contact information available on the PDC page. Please send further updates for the page to Alix.
