Keep in mind your "client" population when developing content for a web site. What types of information and services do they need?
Speak to your audience
Avoid terminology or jargon that your audience may not understand.
Consider the hardware and software your clientele may be using to access your web site. The type and size of monitor they use will
affect the usability of your web site. The same is true for the type and version of web browser they use. Are they connecting to your web
site from a 28K modem (slow) or over a T1 line (fast)?
Clients with disabilities may be using specially enhanced software to access your site. Have you designed your site for maximum usability?

Is there information about the demographics of your client population that may be helpful in planning your web site? Once your site
becomes available, consider using the a statistical information (automatically accumulated by your web server)
to analyze use of your site.
