Description of repository / collection image holdings:

Primarily photographs included as a component of family papers, such as the Emerson, Alcott, and Dickinson families, and many others; drawings, primarily English and American; and paintings.

What we have in VIA:

Only daguerreotypes are described in VIA, although some Houghton Modern paintings are included from descriptions in the Harvard Portrait Collection. Additional visual materials can be found in HOLLIS and OASIS.
