The Library Digital Initiative is guided by an Executive Committee and the University Library Council.

In addition, there are a number of committees that oversee particular digital library systems and activities. The Digital Acquisitions Committee oversees the licensing and acquisition of commercially-available electronic resources and provides oversight for the Digital Repository Service (DRS). Many individual systems have their own steering committees such as OASIS, VIA and the Harvard Geospatial Library.
