Please note that the OASIS/EAD Users Group meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 3/25 and future meetings have been cancelled, pending review by the Manuscript and Archives Access Group (MAAG) and the Manuscripts and Archives Steering Committee (MASC).

The background:
When the ULC initiated changes to its committee structure one year ago, existing committees were "sunsetted" and their responsibilities were assigned to new committees for review. During this transition period, the OASIS Steering Committee and OASIS/EAD Users Group continued to meet to address questions relating to system development and markup practices.

With establishment of the Manuscripts and Archives Access Group, which reports to the Manuscripts and Archives Steering Committee, the OASIS Steering Committee and Users Group have been suspended while MAAG and MASC review the roles and scope of activities of the OASIS groups.

In the meantime, please address any questions pertaining to OASIS system functionality to oasis-support@hulmail.harvard.edu.

For questions pertaining to encoding, the OASIS/EAD users discussion list is still available. To quote the OIS OASIS support web page, "The OASIS/EAD discussion list is a communication forum for issues related to finding aid markup and the OASIS system. This list is available to anyone in the Harvard community. To subscribe, send an email message to "majordomo@hulmail.harvard.edu". You can post messages (once subscribed) by addressing them to: oasis-users@hulmail.harvard.edu."
