Collection Tools (TED/VC)


4/15 VC release 1.2.12 added new language expansions for language codes in the Digital Scores virtual collection.
4/27: TED release 1.6.2 included changes to display text and search behaviors of the Archived Harvard University Online Course Catalogs (A-Cats) collection to accommodate the Kennedy School name change (from Kennedy School of Government to Harvard Kennedy School).
4/29: Completed the Spring load of updated course catalog data to the TED collection of Archived Harvard University Online Course Catalogs (A-Cats).

4/9: A new collection, HLS Student Papers, was added to the Harvard Law School Community. The submission license screen for the Harvard Kennedy School now supports an open access policy option.

DRS & Delivery Services


4/6: PDS Maintenance release 1.4.5 added fixes for a minor glitch in the Harvard METS profile and PDS logging, replaced links to online help with URNs, and disabled editing of Google METS files (to prevent PDS from modifying information it is not currently designed to handle).
4/9: IDS release 2.0.27 included changes to speed up retrieval of stored JPEG2000 thumbnails and addition of an internal monitoring service to keep tabs on IDS performance.
4/13: IDS release 2.0.28 fixed a date rollover bug in the internal monitoring service.
4/29: PDS release 1.2.13 and PDS Maintenance release 1.4.6 added support for the input and presentation of bidirectional strings (e.g. PDS now supports display of intermingled English and Arabic text in citation metadata and page/section node labels).
4/30 FTS (Full Text Search) release 1.3.7 added an updated search set for page-turned documents in the OCP Expeditions and Discoveries collection.

Web Archiving (WAX)

4/1 WAX release 1.0.20 included better 404 error handling, support for paragraphs on collection presentation pages, better handling of frame conversion, a frameset accessibility upgrade, fixed problems with some indexed harvests not appearing in the public interface, updated Japanese "About WAX" text, and improved prevention of leaks to live sites.
4/28: WAX release 1.0.23 addressed a javascript bug that was causing URL address links to be incorrectly formed.
