Updates on OIS Staffing and Support Contacts

As most of you know, Kathleen Anderson will be retiring from Harvard next month. During the last 8 years, KA has managed the Library Systems team responsible for operating and managing Aleph and the library reporting system. In the last several years, her scope expanded to include MetaLib, SFX, and Verde. To insure full continuing support of all these systems and services following KA's departure I have asked existing members of OIS to take on additional tasks and responsibilities. In the short term, this will insure that the libraries have knowledgeable contacts and consistent levels of service. The longer term view of staffing is not yet clear but we will certainly keep you posted with future changes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Laura Morse and Dianne Stronach will share responsibility for overseeing the Library Systems Management team.
• Noelle Ryan will continue to manage the E-Resource Management program
• Allison Powers has already assumed responsibility for the central database maintenance unit.
• Beth Raymond will return from maternity leave on July 13 and resume her role in managing the central Aleph training program as well as acting as primary contact for most functional questions and problems
• Abigail Bordeaux will continue to manage the Verde project as well as taking on additional responsibilities for tackling questions about all types of acquisitions processing
