A number of developments have been made to Finding Aids in HOLLIS:
- An improved navigation feature has been implemented in the Finding Aid view. Finding aids can be navigated by using the expandable Table of Contents that appears on the left side of the screen.
- Finding aids with digital content have a “Digital Content” tab in the upper right of the Finding Aid view, which can be used to limit the view to materials that are online.
- Elements from the Finding Aid have been added to the appropriate HOLLIS Advanced Search indexes: title, author, subject, form/genre. Specific elements are outlined in the HOLLIS index definitions.
See the “Duke Ellington Record Collection” for an example, and click on “More about this collection:”
Many thanks to Michael Vandermillen who implemented the bulk of these developments.
Other HOLLIS updates include:
- Correction to bug which prevented holdings/items from displaying if an item record in Aleph had been deleted since the last Aquabrowser import
- Correction to date sorting for VIA records
- Addition of links to Google Book Search from the Text-Only / Accessible version of HOLLIS
- Addition of several missing language codes to the language index/facet [will take effect on Monday, 4/25]
- Inclusion of MARC tag 530 in keyword index, and tag 245 subfield c in author index [will take effect on Monday, 4/25]
- Resolution of bug related to printing lists
Please send your suggestions, comments and questions via the HOLLIS feedback form.
