This message will be of interest to cataloging and acquisitions staff.
OIS has finished testing Connexion, the OCLC cataloging software that will be replacing Passport and CatME. Information on downloading and installing the client has been sent to IT staff in each library. Instructions for configuring the client to export records to Aleph have been distributed to Technical Services managers. There is no official Harvard cutover date for Connexion (as there is for the RLIN21 client). Please check with your manager for information on when your unit will migrate to Connexion.
Please remember that Passport is defunct as of May 1, 2005, and that CatME is defunct as of July 1, 2005.
The OCLC web page on migrating to Connexion, http://www.oclc.org/connexion/migrating/default.htm, has information on current Connexion functionality compared to Passport, and on functionality that will be implemented in version 1.30 of Connexion which is scheduled for release March, 2005.
