Please note that changes to the Standing Search process in Aleph will
take effect this Thursday. The Standing Search process upgrades
provisionally cataloged records in HVD01 with records supplied by the
Library of Congress. Only records that do NOT contain a "c"
in subfield a of the H08 in the holdings are considered for this
process. If there are multiple holdings, and at least one has
"c," the record will not be eligible for upgrade.
The primary change to the process is that records in HVD01 no longer
require both an LCCN and ISBN in order to be eligible for upgrade. Either
is sufficient. Also, records dating back to 1997 are eligible. These
changes will increase the number of eligible records by as many as ten
times. More details about the Standing Search process may be found in
this document in the Aleph Documentation Center:

Please send any comments or questions via the Aleph Support Center using
the category Cataloging/Authorities/Holdings at:
http://hul.harvard.edu/ois/systems/aleph/forms/f-supp-cat.html
For those Print Operators regularly printing Standing Search reports,
please be aware that this week's reports will be significantly
larger.
Thank you,
