LDI Advisory ServicesA unique aspect of the LDI project is its emphasis on University-wide advising services. LDI is providing expertise on key digital library issues to help libraries develop digital projects that contribute to the Harvard digital collections. Currently, we have experts in the following fields: Digital Acquisitions, Reformatting, Metadata . In addition, members of the OIS Digital Library Projects Group are available to assist individual digitization projects.. Desktop Software DirectoryInformation about and access to desktop software and supporting files used in association with systems supported by OIS. Access to this software is restricted to members of the Harvard library community. Digitization Project ServicesOutlines services that are available to Harvard organizations that interested are in utilizing HUL digital infrastructure systems as part of their collection digitization project, these services are offered courtesy of the Harvard University Library Digital Initiative (LDI). PublicationsPublications that describe OIS activities (OIS News), information sheets and reference guides for the HOLLIS Catalog, and documentation intended for library staff using HULPR for technical processing. Reporting and StatisticsInformation about the mediated and distributed reporting services provided by OIS. Also, Aleph and Libraries Portal database use statistics. TrainingTraining events for library, archives, and museum staff on use of systems and services supported by OIS, including free introductory classes covering the major functional areas of the Aleph library system. |
