Digital Projects
Whenever projects involve digital resources and/or integration with the central HUL infrastructure for managing digital materials, librarians in the Digital Library Projects Group provide project analysis and professional support services to the Harvard community and to OIS.
Please contact the Digital Library Projects Group before beginning a digital library project so that we may work with you and provide you with up-to-date information on systems and services.
For assistance with a new project, first complete the Digital Project Inquiry Form.

Services
For members of the Harvard community, Digital Project Librarians provide assistance and advice on:
- project goals for preservation and access
- project feasibility and scope
- appropriate system configurations
- system requirements
- use of the HUL central infrastructure (including eligibility, registration and data transfer)
Assistance also includes first line support for users, system problem resolution (in collaboration with OIS development staff) and training in groups or individual sessions on the use of digital library systems and services.
Within OIS, Digital Project Librarians assist in the design process by providing functional requirements and release support for new systems and system enhancements; and engage in system testing, usability testing and user interface design.
