Accessing and copying files into HVD01 |
From the Search Tab, choose the HVD02 base and search using Find or Browse. When record is located, push to Records Tab by clicking Catalog button from Brief List or Full + Link display. For instructions on how to duplicate the record from HVD02 to HVD01, consult the document entitled Copy Record and Duplicate Record. |

The LC Resource File is also used for Standing Search, a regular process that overlays bibliographic records in the Union Catalog (HVD01) with matching LC cataloging data. Consult the Standing Search documentation for more information about the Standing Search process. |

9XX fields found in vendor records
Vendor records loaded into HVD03 may include one or more 9XX tags containing acquisitions information. The definitions of these tags can be found by highlighting the tag in the Records Tab in Cataloging and consulting Tab 2, Tag Information. Information may vary per vendor. 9XX fields cannot be saved into HVD01, the Union Catalog.
Records with Searchable Invoice Numbers
As of January 2004, some records contain invoice number information in the HVI field. You may search for all records on a specific invoice with a Multibase CCL query. Multiple records for the same title will appear in HVD03 if records include invoice data. From the Search Tab, choose the HVD03 base and search using Find or Browse. For instructions on how to duplicate the record from HVD03 to HVD01, consult the document entitled Copy Record and Duplicate Record.
