1) HUL Macro Express Policy Revised

The Aleph Standing Committee has approved a revised version of the Macro Express policy. It may be found online in the Aleph Documentation Center at:

The policy was updated to reflect the evolution of the use of Macro Express in the Harvard Library community.

The Aleph Macro Working Group is in the process of developing additional documentation for macro programming and use.

2) HUL Macro User Group Meeting

The first meeting of the HUL Macro User Group will take place in the Lamont Forum Room on Thursday Dec. 13, from 1-2:30.

The meeting will have two parts. The first part will be a presentation by members of the Aleph Macro Working Group:

"Macro Activation: Knowing Your Options and Making Choices"

This will be followed by 1/2 hour for open discussion and questions on macro issues. Bring your questions!

3) Macro Express Training

The Aleph Macro Working Group is currently designing the training documentation for the first of two training classes that will be given periodically under the auspices of OIS.

The first class: MEXA - Introduction to Macro Express - is tentatively scheduled for late January, with multiple sessions during the winter. The second class: MEXB - Macro Express Programming Principles is tentatively scheduled for late winter/early spring.
