Using Chronology Lists in Finding Aids
A chronology list is a useful element for designating significant dates and past events that are either indirectly or directly associated with the records described in the finding aid. In addition to the more formal biography or history note, a chronology list allows for a concise, structured display of dates and events. A chronology list can be made more user friendly by linking items, dates, events, and/or multiple events to specific points within and without the finding aid using internal and external links. For more information about creating links, see OASIS documentation on Internal Links and External Links (to be posted shortly).
