Jane Ouderkirk and Lynda Kresge Receive HCL's 11th Annual Carol Ishimoto Award

When Harvard College Library Technical Services moved to Central Square last year, it was a task of extraordinary complexity, which was implemented with great success. Now, in recognition of their leadership roles in this remarkable team effort, Jane Ouderkirk, head of HCL Technical Services, and Lynda Kresge, associate head, have received the eleventh annual Carol Ishimoto Award for Distinguished Service in the Harvard College Library. The award was presented by Nancy M. Cline, the Roy E. Larsen Librarian of Harvard College, and Jeffrey Horrell, HCL's associate librarian for collections.

Cline remarked, "Presenting this award to both Lynda and Jane recognizes and celebrates their leadership and teamwork—an unbeatable combination. Their different yet complementary strengths and skills led to exceptional accomplishments for the College Library and have given us a new vision for the valuable work carried out in technical services."

According to Horrell, "Jane and Lynda are a wonderful team and this past year has shown how fortunate HCL Technical Services, the College Library, and the University are to have such talented and knowledgeable librarians. This award also reflects upon their dedicated colleagues at HCL Technical Services and all they have accomplished. Congratulations to all."
