E-journals at Baker

"Just in time, just enough, just for me." That's the approach Baker Library is taking with its E-journals web page, http://www.library.hbs.edu/ejournals.htm. With thousands of electronic journals to choose from on HOLLIS, Baker librarians took a lesson in targeted marketing and created a business-specific web page. Baker's electronic journals page reflects the research and teaching interests of the Harvard Business School. Key journals in government, public policy, science, and technology round out the list of business and economic titles. The web page is continuously updated as more business titles are made available through HOLLIS.

The Baker staff reports that during the week when the page went live, there were 657 accesses coming from 457 unique machines. Of these, 338 came from outside the HBS campus. As of the second week, Baker's "WebTrends" report indicated that the electronic journals page was the third most accessed page on the Baker site.
