From Baker's Industrial Life Photograph Collection

Baker Library of the Harvard Business School was invited to contribute the cover image for the May/June 2002 issue of Archival Outlook. The newsletter, published six times each year by the Society of American Archivists (SAA), is distributed to its nationwide readership of over 3,600 individual and institutional members. Baker Library was honored to offer a photograph of a cotton warper, taken by famed photographer Lewis Hine in 1933. The photograph has become the iconographic image for the library's new web-based publication, "Women, Enterprise and Society: A Guide to Resources in the Business Manuscripts Collection at Baker Library," which is found online at www.library.hbs.edu/hc/wes.
