Main Entrance, First Floor Reopened at Widener
On April 14, the main entrance and the first floor of Widener Library reopened, complete with renovated and refurbished marble walls and floors, and renewed lighting, sprinkler, telephone, data, and fire alarm systems. Walls and ceiling were freshly painted in colors that replicate the original interior finishes. Two new and elegant card-swipe machines have been placed at the main entrance.
