HDS Names Russell Pollard Interim Librarian at Andover–Harvard

Russell Pollard, head of technical services in the Harvard Divinity School's Andover–Harvard Theological Library (AHTL), has agreed to serve as AHTL's interim librarian for the 2003-2004 academic year. Pollard, a member of the library staff since 1979, has, according to HDS Dean William Graham, "distinguished himself throughout his tenure as a person of uncommon dedication and commitment. His knowledge of the HDS and larger Harvard communities, his long experience in our library, and the respect he has built among his colleagues will be essential resources for the coming year, and I know the library will be in good hands."

According to Graham, HDS anticipates opening a new search for a permanent librarian early in the fall semester. As part of his duties, Pollard will represent HDS on the University Library Council (ULC).
