Lamont Ramps Up for Summer Renovation

For three months, beginning June 11, HCL's Lamont Library will undergo renovation on two levels. One-half of the second-floor mezzanine will be converted into a home for Morse Music and Media, and the reading room on the fifth floor will be completely refurbished. A renovation briefing for the Lamont staff was held on April 7, with presentations by Neil Martin, project architect, and Cahal Stephens, principal, both of Einhorn Yaffe Prescott; Paul Bellenoit, director of HCL Operations, who will manage the Lamont project; and Martin Schreiner, head of Morse Music Library, which is moving from Hilles to Lamont and becoming part of Morse Music and Media. The renovation is on a tight schedule, with work beginning immediately following Commencement and finishing in time for the opening of fall term.
