Gutman Library Renovation
The Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) completed extensive renovations to the second floor of the Monroe C. Gutman Library during the summer and fall of 2005. The design firm, Chang + Sylligardos Architects, worked closely with a team that included HGSE Librarian John W. Collins III and his staff to develop and implement a professional and technology-rich environment. The interior design plan included a new color palette, new furnishings, new art work, refurbished study rooms, improved lighting, and a completely wireless environment. As a result, Gutman's second floor has become a major study and meeting area for the HGSE community.
