Corinna Baksik

Most recently, Corinna Baksik worked as an acquisitions assistant in the Social Sciences Program in HCL. Prior to that she was a business analyst in records management at Fidelity Investments. She has a BA in social science from the University of Michigan, and an MSLIS from Simmons.


Wendy Brown

Previously, Wendy Brown worked as a manuscript assistant in HCL's Houghton Library, where she archived and preserved documents in the library's rare manuscript collection. She holds a BA in sociology and elementary education from Northeastern University.


David Buxton

David Buxton has had extensive experience in managing circulation, library automation systems, and cooperative library services, including being the circulation librarian at Widener from 1975 to 1977. He holds an MSLIS from Simmons and an AB in English literature from Harvard.


Lev Chaban

Lev Chaban worked for 12 years at the New York Public Library, most recently as a librarian in its Slavic and Baltic Division. He was responsible for collection development, processing Slavic- and Baltic-language materials, and providing reference and research assistance. He holds a BA in pedagogical science from Drohobych Pedagogical Institute in Ukraine and an MLS from the Pratt Institute in New York.


Caitlin Connelly

Caitlin Connelly served as a research assistant at Georgetown University, where she transcribed and analyzed interviews for a professor visiting Harvard on a fellowship. She holds a BA in history from Georgetown and is currently working towards an MSLIS at Simmons.


Eddie Crane

Eddie Crane recently earned his BA in history and political science from Boston College. A native of Cambridge, he served as an intern at Congressman Capuano's office and at the Joint Center for Housing Studies. He recently helped found an area sports camp for underprivileged youths.

Until recently, Cary Donahue worked as a curatorial assistant at the Medford Historical Society, where he performed object cataloging and archival processing. He also spent the last four years as lead cataloger at the Northeast Museum Services Center in Charlestown. He holds a BA in international relations from Lehigh University, as well as a certificate in museum studies and an ALM in history, both from the Harvard Extension School.

Ben Dubrovsky has over 15 years of experience designing user experience and applying usability and user-centered design principles to web, kiosk, and other interactive communications. He has a BS in engineering from Tufts University, with majors in human factors engineering and computer science, and a master's in computer science from Harvard. He has also studied at MIT's Media Lab.

Sarah Flanigan recently worked as a library intern at Payette Associates Architects in Boston, where she was responsible for circulating materials and researching and compiling information for patrons. She holds a BA in Scandinavian studies and sociology from the University of Wisconsin and is currently working towards her MSLIS at Simmons.


Cheryl Fraser

Cheryl Fraser has worked at the Harvard Depository since March in a temporary capacity as a project traffic coordinator. She previously worked as a secretary in the real estate department of Richards & Associates, PC, and as an assistant and project administrative coordinator at Aalborg Industries, both in Erie, Pennsylvania. She has a BA in English from Springfield College, and an MA in audiology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.


Michael Grossman

Michael Grossman has worked in the Middle Eastern Division as a library assistant for the past four years, where he has performed cataloging for works in Georgian, Armenian, Turkish, and Arabic. In addition, he has worked as production coordinator/caption coordinator at WGBH's Caption Center in Boston for the past 21 years. He holds an AB in sociology and anthropology from Oberlin College.


Daniel Groves

Daniel Groves recently completed his MFA in English from Ohio State University. He also holds an MA and BA in writing seminars from Johns Hopkins University. He served as a library assistant and a supervisor at Johns Hopkins's Milton S. Eisenhower Library, where he reshelved and shifted materials, trained assistants, and prepared damaged materials for repair.


Thomas A. Horrocks

Prior to joining HCL, Thomas Horrocks was associate director for the Center for the History of Medicine and Joseph Garland Librarian at Harvard's Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine, where he was also acting codirector since January 2005. He received an MSLIS from Drexel University and a PhD in history from the University of Pennsylvania. Active in various bibliographical and scholarly organizations, he is a member of the Colonial Society of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Historical Society, the Grolier Club, and the American Antiquarian Society. He is a founding member and current president of the Ticknor Society, a Boston-based bibliophilic society.


Dale Hunter

Dale Hunter has worked as an interlibrary loan aide at Reed College Library in Portland, Oregon. He has also held several positions at Snow Library in Orleans, Massachusetts. He holds a BA in philosophy from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.


Jasmine Koushki

Jasmine Koushki has held a variety of positions, including working as a library assistant at Yale University Library's Department of Acquisitions. While there, she processed the library's new books and translated Arabic and Persian titles. She is also currently co-authoring a book about the lives of women living in the United Arab Emirates.


Ashok Kumar

Ashok Kumar has worked at OIS since 2003 as a consultant doing database administration. Prior to that he was a database administrator at Merrill Lynch. He holds a BS in computer science from St. Xavier's College of Madurai Kamaraj University in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, and is an Oracle Certified Database Administrator.


Reed Lowrie

Reed Lowrie last worked as a science reference librarian/biomedical specialist at the University of Chicago's John Crerar Library, where he was responsible for outreach and instruction programs and for staffing the reference desk. Previously, he worked at the Grainger Engineering Library, University of Illinois, and at the Dana Biomedical Library and Matthews-Fuller Health Science Library, both at Dartmouth. He holds a BA in English literature from Haverford College, as well as an MA in English literature from the University of Chicago and an MLS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.


Pamela Madsen

Pamela Madsen has worked as a collation department assistant at Iowa State University's Parks Library. She distributed serials throughout the general collection and prepared monographs for distribution. She holds a BA in anthropology and music from Iowa State University.


Joanna Marsden

Joanna Marsden has worked as a stacks shelving assistant in Access Services for the past few months. She is a recent graduate of Vassar College, where she earned a BA in music and Russian studies. She was a student assistant at Vassar's George Sherman Dickinson Music Library, where she gained experience cataloging, shelving, and working at the circulation desk.


Angela McDaniel

Angela McDaniel has worked in the collection development department at Duke University's Perkins Library, where she processed book orders to replace lost or damaged books. She also processed new book orders from professors and verified absence of duplicate copies. She earned her BA in psychology from Duke.


Amber Meryman

Since 2002, Amber Meryman was assistant dean of libraries/head of technical services at Butler University in Indianapolis, and prior to that worked as a reference/web services librarian. She has a BA in history and government from Smith, and an MLS from Indiana University.

Andrew Novis last worked at the Harvard Business School's Baker Library as a library assistant. He performed electronic check-in of library materials and mailed out claims to vendors and publishers. He holds a BA in Spanish from Brandeis University and an MA in Spanish from Boston College.


Amy Phillips

Until recently, Amy Phillips worked at the Harvard Divinity School's Andover-Harvard Theological Library as monographs and LDI project cataloger. She cataloged manuscripts, special collections, microfiche of rare materials, and metadata related to art and archaeology. She also created guidelines for cataloging slides linked to digital images in OLIVIA. She holds a BA in English from Azusa Pacific University in California, an MSLS from the Catholic University of America, and a master of theological studies from Boston University.


Minna Scholten

Minna Scholten served as a volunteer at the Schlow Memorial Library in State College, Pennsylvania, where she was responsible for reshelving and organizing library materials. She earned her BA in religion from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.


Matthew Olen Martinez Thompson

Matthew Olen Martinez Thompson previously worked as an assistant in Access Services at Government Documents in HCL, as well as an assistant in Access Services at the Weston Jesuit/Episcopal Divinity School Library. He recently received a ThM in theology from Weston Jesuit School of Theology. He also holds an MDiv from the Harvard Divinity School and an AB in English literature and history from Stanford University.


Gwido Zlatkes

Prior to this appointment, Gwido Zlatkes worked at Tozzer Library as the evening/weekend circulation supervisor, where he also processed reserves and interlibrary loans. While at Tozzer he earned an MSLIS from Simmons. He also holds an MA in Polish literature from Warsaw University in Poland and an MA in Jewish studies from Hebrew College in Brookline. Zlatkes continues his interest in literature and translates poetry from Polish to English and from English to Polish.
