June 11—
Cataloging Rules for the 20th Century

On Monday, June 11, at 3:30 pm, the Harvard University Library Task Group on Discovery and Metadata will sponsor a presentation by Karen Coyle, co-author of the recently published "Resource Description and Access (RDA): Cataloging Rules for the 20th Century" (http://dlib.org/dlib/january07/coyle/01coyle.html).

The event is third in a series. The first took place on March 19, with UCLA's Terry Ryan, who spoke on the University of California Libraries Bibliographic Services Task Force's report "Rethinking How We Provide Bibliographic Services for the University of California."

The second was on May 4 and featured Karen Calhoun of Cornell University, whose talk was on a Library of Congress report entitled "The Changing Nature of the Catalog and Its Integration with Other Discovery Tools."
