Douglas Oro, day supervisor for Access Services at Gutman Library, Harvard Graduate School of Education, taught a summer-term course, Philosophy of Art, at Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey. In addition to his position at HGSE, Oro is a lecturer in philosophy at Northeastern University.

University Archivist Megan Sniffin-Marinoff chaired the session "Creating Histories for Ourselves and Others: The Role of the University Archivist" at the annual conference of the International Council on Archives Section on University and Research Institution Archives, held in September at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.
