Marcus Boston

Marcus Boston recently worked as a temporary library assistant in Technical Services, receiving and copy cataloging materials for the French and Italian collections. In this position, he will provide access to HCL collections by performing a variety of acquisitions and cataloging duties for monographs in multiple formats. In addition to working with materials in all languages represented in MACC, a primary focus will be to support Portuguese collections. He holds a BA in classical civilization, concentrating in Latin literature, from Oberlin College.

Joe Bourneuf

In this new role, Joe Bourneuf will provide leadership in planning, assessing, and coordinating reference services across Widener and Lamont libraries. He will also oversee the HCL StaffShare program, supervise reference student assistants, coordinate desk scheduling, and help to develop and implement new reference tools and services. He will continue to serve as a library liaison to Harvard's academic departments.

Suzanne Denison

Suzanne Denison comes to HCL from the Countway Library at Harvard Medical School, where she has worked since 2007 as a processing assistant and also as an archival intern. She holds a BA in history from Washington State University, and an MSLIS with an archives concentration and an MA in history, both from Simmons.

Krista Ferrante

Krista Ferrante was previously a project archivist for Tufts University Digital Collections and Archives, and also has experience as a project manager and project assistant for the American Antiquarian Society in Worcester. She holds a BA in history from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MSLIS with an archives concentration from Simmons.

Mary French

Mary French was a pre-program conservation intern at the Boston Athenaeum and most recently served as a conservation contractor at Harvard Business School's Knowledge and Library Services. She has a BA in psychology and medieval/Renaissance studies from Wellesley College.

Christie Gilliland

Christie Gilliland previously worked in the HCL Technical Services African and Asian Unit as a library assistant from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, after leaving HCL, she worked as a librarian at Paris Junior College in Texas. She holds a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Evansville and a master's degree in library service from the University of Alabama.

Jennie Haluska

In this position, Jennie Haluska will provide access to HCL collections by performing a variety of acquisitions and cataloging duties for monographs in multiple formats. In addition to working with materials in all languages represented in MACC, a primary focus will be to support Scandinavian collections. Haluska graduated from Harvard College this May, earning an AB in folklore and mythology. As a student, she worked as a circulation assistant in Widener Library.

Christina Linklater

Christina Linklater first joined HCL in 2006 as a library assistant in Loeb Music Library before accepting a position as RISM Project cataloger in Loeb Music Library in 2008. In this role, she will be responsible for cataloging materials from the collection of ballet, opera, and dance materials given to the Harvard Theatre Collection by Professor Emeritus John Ward and other music materials acquired by the Houghton Library. She holds a BM in organ performance from University of Ottawa, a MM in musicology from the University of Ottawa, and a PhD in musicology from Harvard, and she is currently working towards an MSLIS from Simmons.

Anton Lipar

Anton Lipar first joined HCL in 2008 as a library assistant in Widener Library's Slavic Division. He has also held a library assistant position in the Binding and Shelf Preparation Unit of the Preservation and Imaging Department. He has an MA in museum studies from the University of Constantin Philosopher in Slovakia.

Laura Morrison

Laura Morrison previously worked at the Countway Library of Medicine, where she managed journal and monographic series subscriptions for both print and electronic resources. Her previous experience as a member of the Verde Task Force will be very valuable in her new position at HLSL.

Jay Moschella

Prior to coming to Countway, Jay Moschella most recently worked with HUL's Open Collections Program as a digital processing specialist. He has been at Harvard since 2006, during which time he worked as a library assistant at the Fine Arts Library and as a conservation technician at Widener. He holds an MSLIS from Simmons and a BA in history from Boston College.

Drew O'Doherty

Drew O'Doherty first came to HCL in 2004 as a conservation assistant. He holds an additional part-time position as a preservation review assistant, assisting in the preparation and tracking of materials treated by HCL Conservation Services.

Matthew Phillips

Matt Phillips is the newest member of the HLSL Library Innovation Lab. He previously worked for Visionary Technology in Library Solutions (VTLS) in Blacksburg, Virginia, and he is the co-founder of SeqCentral, a Cambridge start-up. He has a BS in computer science from Mansfield University and a master's of computer science from Virginia Tech.

Carli Spina

Carli Spina was formerly a corporate lawyer at Goodwin Procter. She has a BA in East Asian studies from Harvard and a JD from the University of Chicago, and she is currently a student in the MSLIS program at Simmons.

Colin Van Alstine

Colin Van Alstine previously worked in the finance department of Advanced Behavioral Health. As a member of the Administrative and Technology Support team, he will support the work of bibliographers and the Monographic Acquisitions and Copy Cataloging unit. He holds a BS in computer information systems from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island.
